CrafTreat didn’t begin in a fancy studio or a big office.
It started in the middle of my living room — with paper scraps on the sofa, stencils under the coffee table, and my kids asking,
“Amma, is this craft or is this work?”
Honestly… at that time, I wasn’t sure either.
As a Software Engineer juggling deadline, motherhood, and a brain constantly buzzing with ideas, crafting became my secret escape — a small, happy world where time slowed down and colours made sense in ways life sometimes didn’t.
One night, while folding paper into a box (that absolutely refused to look like a box), I had a thought:
“Why does crafting have to be so overwhelming?”
Why should a simple project take hours of measuring, cutting, fixing mistakes, and searching for that one magnet that always disappears at the exact wrong moment?
That tiny frustration became the spark behind CrafTreat.
What We Wanted to Fix
We dreamed of a world where:
• You didn’t need 27 tools to start a project.
• Every crafter — beginner or expert — could say, “This is fun!”
• You could finish a scrapbook or folio in a weekend… not a month.
• Crafting felt like joy, not homework.
